Huff's Trail
Huff’s Trek is a 3.3-mile one-way, moderate trail connecting Meadow Village to the upper sections of Big Sky’s mountain bike and trail network. Built by Terraflow Trail Systems and Bo Trail Systems, this trail exists thanks to generous support from donors and private landowners who helped make this important connection possible.
Huff’s Trek is commonly used as the uphill access route to Mountain to Meadow (M2M) for those seeking a longer adventure without lift access. The steady climb rewards users with expanded route options and access to the larger Lone Mountain trail system.
Open year-round, Huff’s Trek accommodates hikers, runners, mountain bikers, snowshoers, and fat bikers. In winter, portions of the surrounding trail system are groomed by Lone Mountain Ranch. Please observe posted signage regarding winter dog restrictions.

More Trail Details
Huff’s Trek plays a key role in Big Sky’s connected trail network. It serves as:
- The primary pedal-up route to Mountain to Meadow
- A connector between Meadow Village and upper trail systems
- A year-round multi-use route
Winter conditions can create icy sections. Snowshoes or traction devices are recommended when necessary.
If recreating in winter, be aware that portions of the Middle Fork area are groomed by Lone Mountain Ranch. Dogs are not permitted on groomed Nordic trails during winter season.
Maintained as part of the BSCO trail network, Huff’s Trek reflects the collaborative effort between builders, donors, landowners, and the broader community to expand responsible access to Big Sky’s outdoor spaces.
