About

Len Hill Park

Len Hill Park is Big Sky’s central gathering space — a 3.3-acre green lawn located in Town Center that hosts concerts, festivals, and year-round community events.

Originally slated for condominium development, this land was preserved for public use thanks to the leadership of BSCO and generous community donors. Officially reopened in 2021, the park honors Leonard “Len” Hill, whose passion for community preservation and thoughtful development helped shape Big Sky’s future.

Today, Len Hill Park serves as the home of the Arts Council of Big Sky’s Music in the Mountains summer concert series, along with family events, markets, and celebrations that bring the community together. This park is a testament to what thoughtful planning and local investment can protect — open space at the center of town, preserved in perpetuity.

Dog Rules: Dogs are permitted. Please keep dogs under voice and sight control during normal park use and leashed during crowded events.

Music in the Mountains

Music in the Mountains, hosted by the Arts Council of Big Sky, is a beloved summer tradition at Len Hill Park. Held on Thursday evenings from late June through early September, this free outdoor concert series brings together locals and visitors to enjoy live music from national, regional, and local artists in a scenic mountain setting. With thousands gathering on the lawn each week, the series celebrates Big Sky’s creative community while offering a family-friendly evening of music, food, and connection in the heart of Town Center.
