Adult Softball League

League Requirements & Team Information

BSCO recreation leagues are designed to keep sports fun, organized, and community-focused. To ensure fair play and smooth league operations, teams and players are expected to follow the guidelines below.

Team Eligibility

• Players must live or work in Big Sky during the current calendar year.
• All participants must be 18 years or older unless otherwise noted for youth leagues.

Team Rosters

• Teams may register up to 25 players unless otherwise specified by the league.
• Initial team rosters must be submitted before the first scheduled game.
• Teams may add players to their roster until the league deadline for that season.
• Players may only appear on one team roster per league season.

Registration & Fees

• Team Fee: $700 per team (varies by league)
• Player Fee: $15 per player
• All fees must be paid before a team is eligible to compete.

Waivers & Participation

• All players must complete the league liability waiver prior to participating.
• Players who have not signed the waiver may not participate in games.
• Participants should bring valid identification to games in case roster eligibility needs verification.

Rules of Play

• Each BSCO league follows the official rules of its governing sport organization, unless otherwise specified in the BSCO league handbook.
• Additional sport-specific rules may apply and will be shared with teams prior to the season.

Softball League Rules

• The Big Sky Softball League follows American Softball Association (ASA) rules unless otherwise stated.
• Teams must have a minimum of three female players on the field and in the batting lineup at all times.
