Bring the whole family for one of the most approachable hikes in the Hike Big Sky series. Meet at the trailhead at 9:00 a.m. for an easy morning along the South Fork.
Storybook Trail combines nature, movement, and reading into a fun experience for hikers of all ages. Following the South Fork of the Gallatin River, this easy loop features pages from a children's storybook placed throughout the trail, making it especially enjoyable for families with young children while still offering a beautiful walk for everyone.

Getting there: From the Big Sky Town Center, head east on Aspen Leaf Drive for about three-quarters of a mile. Immediately after crossing the bridge, you'll see a small parking area and the trailhead on the right. Additional parking is available in the pullout just north of the bridge.
